Charming getaway, hosts are fantastic!! It is isolated enough to be forced to relax, yet close to things to make fun day trips out and about.
Spent a fantastic long weekend with friends here in November. Patrick and Shelley really made the weekend special for everyone! The accommodations are great - very country (don't expect jet tubs and other super fancy stuff). Fireplaces in every room. Breakfast was outstanding. Shelley outdid herself every morning. The property the Inn is on has trails right out the door, lots of green space. There is actually a fabulous mountain bike trail about a half a mile away (IC DeHart park) that Patrick told me about. On Saturday night, Patrick brought out his guitar and spent the evening with us playing music and singing along. Cell reception was pretty much non-existent for all of us on all the various carriers. They have WiFi across the Inn but don't plan on watching too much netflix. I can't recommend Mountain Rose enough. This was our second time visiting, and far from our last!

A great place for special events besides a wonderful place to stay over in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are local shops in the area that offer so many types of unique items.
Excellent stay for our anniversary. Innkeeper were very friendly and helpful...Excellent breakfast. Beds super comfy. Discount for return customers. Swimming pool, fire pit with Smores, deck overlooking creek on site, plenty of balconys with rockers, etc...We will be going again!

Shelia's This & That in Stuart Va is about 5 minutes away from the Inn and offer antiques, primitives and vintage treasures plus Event Rentals they call Country Charm.
Our visit to The Mountain Rose Inn was most enjoyable. The Inn Keepers were so professional and made us feel right at home. We were on business but look forward to returning on vacation next trip.
We toured the beautiful old Inn looking at each room that was decorated in a comfortable, yet sophisticated decor. The pool wasn't opened yet but it was a nice amenity.
